Overview

Mon Viet (Sai Gon Spring Rolls) offers an authentic slice of Vietnamese cuisine right in the heart of Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. Nestled at Jalan Anggerik Vanilla W 31/W, this Vietnamese restaurant captures the essence of traditional flavors with a modern touch. From the moment you step in, the welcoming space sets the tone for a relaxed dining experience complemented by attentive service and efficient ordering via QR code.

The menu shines with its diverse offerings, but the true stars are the spring rolls, pho, and banh mi. The spring rolls—available fresh or fried—arrive light yet satisfying, with prawns and pork expertly balanced against crisp, thin rice paper. Their Vietnamese Beef Noodle soup impresses with a clear, richly aromatic broth that highlights tender beef slices without overpowering the palate. The banh mi with roasted pork stands out for its crispy yet fluffy bread, delivering an authentic Saigon experience reminiscent of street-side stalls in Vietnam.

Rice dishes, such as the grilled lemongrass chicken with fragrant rice and the pork chop rice served alongside a flavorful complimentary soup, embody a harmonious balance of herbs and spices that pay homage to traditional Vietnamese home cooking while mindful of a lighter, healthier profile. This glides smoothly with their beverage selection, where a robust Vietnamese coffee latte and soothing honey ginger tea provide both refreshing and comforting finishes.

Mon Viet excels in delivering fresh, well-crafted meals that resonate with both Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts and locals seeking balanced flavors without heaviness. The portions are generous enough for a satisfying meal, though some diners have noted a slightly modest serving size, which aligns well with the restaurant’s focus on quality over quantity. Prices remain reasonable, making this an attractive option for casual lunches, family dinners, or anyone craving genuine Vietnamese fare outside of the typical mall environment.

Whether you’re drawn by the allure of traditional Indochinese dishes or looking to indulge in meticulously prepared spring rolls and grilled meats, Mon Viet provides a clean, inviting atmosphere that radiates a genuine passion for Vietnamese food culture. It is a noteworthy destination for those keen on exploring rich, layered tastes crafted with care and authenticity.

If you’re looking for the authentic Vietnamese food, this is the spot. They served really good Vietnamese prawn & chicken spring roll. I had their Vietnamese grilled chicken rice and it was tasty and full or flavour. I would recommend this spot as it is one of the good Vietnamese food available in Kota Kemuning. Price are reasonable too.

We had a great experience at this Vietnamese restaurant. The food was flavourful, fresh, and I dare say even better and healthier than many commercialized Vietnamese spots. Everything was tasty without being overly oily, which made the meal feel really balanced. They also served a complimentary bowl of soup with the rice dishes, and wow, it was incredibly flavourful. Prices were affordable, portions were generous, and the place was clean and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth returning to.

Was craving for some indochina food ie. Thai or Viet....accidentally discovered this. Relatively new to kota kemuning area hence am pretty impressed with the food. Only 1 small complain, portion a bit small. Otherwise taste spot on. Good balance between Viet and Malaysian taste bud.

Had a nice dinner yesterday at Mon Viet. The banh mi (subway sandwich) with pork was tasty and bread was crispy yet fluffy. Almost as good as the bread we had in Vietnam. The chicken rice is nice too as the rice is well cooked with lots of flavour. The pho was not bad, it had a good amount of beef. Lastly, the roast pork dry vermicelli was good, light and lots of vegetables to balance the roast pork. Service and atmosphere met expectations. Food came out within 15 minutes, ordering is via QR code. Price here is reasonable too where you can get a good meal for under RM20 per pax. Overall, my family and I will be coming back to try more dishes.

What can I say? Julie is simply superb as the owner and always serves one of the best bun cha. Usually will pre order her famous Bun Cha and she delivers. Succulent meat grilled to a nice char. Adequate vegs and fresh basil and garlic tops up a very sumptuous and filling meal. Not only that, the owner is very friendly and takes time to explain things. Her passion is evident in the food she serves. Also highly recommended is the pho. Authentic and flavourful. Thanks, Julie. Everytime.
